- 245 g (1 cup) full-fat plain yogurt
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 tsp paprika
- ยฝ tsp cumin
- ยผ tsp cayenne
- 1 tsp salt
- Wooden or metal skewers
Instructions
- Prepare the marinade: In a medium bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, paprika, cumin, cayenne, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
- Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and add them to the yogurt marinade. Ensure all pieces are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 200ยฐC / 400ยฐF) or your oven to 200ยฐC (400ยฐF), and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers, leaving space between each piece for even cooking.
- Cook the skewers: Grill for about 15 minutes, turning occasionally, or bake for the same amount of time, flipping halfway through until the chicken reaches 74ยฐC (165ยฐF).
- Remove the skewers from the grill or oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
