Description

A simple and delicious dish that celebrates fresh ingredients with ripe tomatoes, creamy mozzarella cheese, and fresh basil.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe tomatoes
  • 8 oz creamy mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice the tomatoes and mozzarella cheese into thick slices.
  2. On a serving platter, alternate layers of tomato and mozzarella slices.
  3. Tuck fresh basil leaves between the layers.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve immediately, or chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
