- 4 ripe tomatoes
- 8 oz creamy mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Slice the tomatoes and mozzarella cheese into thick slices.
- On a serving platter, alternate layers of tomato and mozzarella slices.
- Tuck fresh basil leaves between the layers.
- Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately, or chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
