- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- In a bowl, mix ground chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into meatballs.
- Add the meatballs to the skillet and brown on all sides.
- Add chicken broth and orzo to the skillet. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, until the orzo is cooked.
- Stir in heavy cream and let simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Make sure not to overcrowd the skillet when browning the meatballs for even cooking. You can add vegetables like spinach or peas for extra nutrition.
