- 120 g (ยฝ cup) Sourdough Starter
- 3 medium Ripe Bananas
- 250 g (2 cups) All-Purpose Flour
- 100 g (ยฝ cup) Granulated Sugar
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 150 g (1 cup) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1 large Egg
- 80 ml (โ cup) Unsalted Butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180ยฐC (350ยฐF).
- Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth. Stir in the sourdough starter, melted butter, sugar, and egg until combined.
- Whisk together the all-purpose flour and baking soda in another bowl. Gradually add to the banana mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Grease the loaf pan and pour the batter in, smoothing the top.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra moisture, consider adding a tablespoon of plain yogurt. Let the batter rest for better flavor development.
