Description
A delightful pasta dish that combines tender shrimp with a creamy sauce, perfect for special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces pasta (linguine or fettuccine)
- 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes (with juices) and heavy cream; bring this mixture to a simmer.
- Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and well combined.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toss the cooked pasta with the shrimp and sauce until everything is well coated.
- Serve garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
Make sure not to overcook the shrimp; they cook quickly and should be removed from the heat as soon as they turn pink. Experiment with different types of pasta or add a hint of spice with red pepper flakes.
