Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
- Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and matcha in a large bowl.
- Beat softened butter until creamy in a separate bowl, then add eggs one at a time along with vanilla, mixing well.
- Gradually add the dry mix to the wet ingredients, alternating with buttermilk, mixing until just combined.
- Divide batter among cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full, and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the frosting, beat softened butter until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar, heavy cream, matcha, and vanilla, mixing until fluffy.
- Frost the cooled cupcakes as desired.
