Instructions
- Prepare the dry ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, rolled oats, baking soda, and salt. Stir until well mixed. Set aside.
- Cream the butter and sugar: In another large bowl, beat softened butter with brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Add the bananas: Mash ripe bananas and fold them into the butter and sugar mixture until fully incorporated.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients: Gradually fold in the dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined.
- Add the chocolate chunks: Gently fold in semi-sweet chocolate chunks until evenly distributed.
- Scoop the cookies: Drop portions of dough onto a prepared baking sheet, leaving space for spreading.
- Bake: Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 10-12 minutes, or until cookies are golden brown.
