These easy Banana Chocolate Chip Bars are perfect for using up overripe bananas and are loved by everyone.
Ingredients

- 3 ripe bananas (about 450 g)
- 150 g (3/4 cup) granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 90 ml (1/3 cup) melted coconut oil
- 225 g (1 ยพ cups) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 150 g (1 cup) chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 175ยฐC (350ยฐF).
- Line a 9ร13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl. Add sugar, egg, and melted coconut oil. Whisk until smooth.
- Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then combine with the wet mixture.
- Gently fold in chocolate chips until just combined.
- Pour batter into the baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
Store the bars in an airtight container for up to 5 days. These bars also freeze well.
