Ingredients

- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1 cup aged cheddar cheese, grated
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the butter, garlic, thyme, and salt. Microwave for about 30 seconds until melted and fragrant.
- Unroll the puff pastry dough onto a clean surface and brush with the aromatic melted butter mixture.
- Grate the cheddar cheese evenly over the buttered pastry.
- Starting from the longest side, tightly roll the pastry into a log.
- Slice the log into 1 cm thick rounds.
- Place the pinwheels on a parchment-lined baking tray, brush tops with reserved butter, and bake at 200°C (400°F) for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
For variations, consider adding sun-dried tomatoes or using different herbs.
