Ingredients

  • 150 g (3/4 cup) packed brown sugar
  • 100 g (1/2 cup) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg

  • 240 g (2 cups) all-purpose flour
  • 5 g (1 teaspoon) baking soda
  • 1 g (1/4 teaspoon) salt
  • 150 g (1 cup) semisweet or milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  2. Cream the butter and sugars: In a large mixing bowl, beat butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the bananas and egg: Mix in mashed bananas, egg, and vanilla extract. Beat until well combined.
  4. Combine mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips: Gently fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Chill the dough: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven: Preheat to 180ยฐC (350ยฐF) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
