Description

Tender roasted asparagus topped with melted asiago cheese, creating a delightful fusion of flavors.


Ingredients

  • 500 g (1 lb) fresh asparagus
  • 100 g (1 cup) asiago cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Lemon zest (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 220ยฐC (425ยฐF).
  2. Rinse the asparagus under cold water and trim the tough ends, about 1-2 inches from the bottom.
  3. Lay the asparagus in a single layer on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss to coat.
  4. Roast in the oven for 10 minutes until tender and slightly crispy at the tips.
  5. Remove from the oven and sprinkle asiago cheese over the asparagus. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles.
  6. Drizzle with lemon zest if desired and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 175ยฐC (350ยฐF) oven for 10โ€“12 minutes.
