Description
Turkey Cranberry Grilled Sandwiches are a delightful combination of turkey, cranberry sauce, and cheese grilled to perfection.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 slices of bread (your choice, such as sourdough, whole wheat, or rye)
- 2 cups cooked turkey (sliced or shredded)
- 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 4 slices of cheese (such as Swiss, cheddar, or provolone)
- 4 tablespoons butter (softened, for grilling)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side of half the slices, layer the turkey, cranberry sauce, and cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
- Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Place the sandwiches in the skillet, cooking for about 3–4 minutes on each side or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted. If necessary, press down slightly with a spatula for even grilling.
- Remove from the skillet once both sides are golden and the cheese has melted.
- Cut the sandwiches in half and serve warm.
Notes
- Serve with a side of chips or a salad.
