Traditional Shaken Espresso Overnight Oats

Description

A delicious blend of cold coffee and oats, perfect for a nutritious, on-the-go breakfast.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/22/3 cup milk (or plant milk)
  • 1 shot espresso (or 2 tbsp cold brew concentrate)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar (or sweetener of choice)
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Measure 1/2 cup of rolled oats into a jar.
  2. Add 1/2 – 2/3 cup of milk based on the desired thickness.
  3. Prepare 1 shot of espresso or 2 tbsp of cold brew concentrate.
  4. Sweeten with 1 tbsp brown sugar and a pinch of salt.
  5. Shake or stir vigorously for 20-30 seconds to emulsify.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours, ideally overnight.
  7. Top and enjoy cold.

Notes

For a protein boost, substitute part of the milk with Greek yogurt. Add various toppings to personalize.
