- 1 cup finely chopped pecans
- 1 cup dried, chopped dates
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (8 ounce) cream cheese, softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 36 Ritz crackers
Instructions
- Place the crackers on a cookie sheet.
- Put chopped pecans, dates, and sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat. Keep stirring until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.
- Spread the mixture on top of each cracker. Let the mixture cool on the cracker for a few minutes while making the frosting.
- To make the frosting, mix together softened cream cheese, softened butter, vanilla, and powdered sugar.
- Spread frosting on top of each cracker.
