Description
A quick, healthy, and refreshing Peach Sorbet made from ripe summer peaches, perfect for summer treats and light desserts.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Choose ripe peaches and slice them.
- Make a simple syrup by dissolving sugar in water in a saucepan over low heat; cool.
- Blend sliced peaches with cooled syrup, lemon juice, and a splash of water until smooth.
- Optionally strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve for extra smoothness.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow, freezer-safe container and freeze for 3-4 hours, stirring every 30 minutes for the first 2 hours to prevent large ice crystals.
- Once frozen, blend again until creamy if needed, or serve immediately after softening at room temperature.
- Garnish with fresh peach slices or mint before serving.
Notes
For a creamier texture, consider adding a splash of alcohol like Amaretto or bourbon while blending.
