Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper on both sides. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Pour the marinara sauce evenly over the chicken breasts, making sure they are well covered. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the sauce.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C), and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  5. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil if desired. Serve warm with pasta, rice, or a side salad.
