Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Scoop uniform balls of dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them apart.
  9. Bake for 10-14 minutes, until the edges are golden but the centers are soft.
  10. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, chill the dough for 24-48 hours for enhanced flavor and texture. Use a higher initial baking temperature for taller centers.
